Originally designed with help from Willie Weir. This is a bike that he could take to the Balkans, Cuba, and other out of the way destinations around the world. It has very low gearing, very reliable componentry, and is extremely durable. Plus the the bike will easily pack into a 26"X26" suitcase for convenient transport.

So you want a hand crafted, American made tandem at an great price? The Rodriguez Toucan is the answer. This year we even offer this bike with a Rohloff hub system incorporated.

The Rodriguez Toucan is hand-built tandem frame without a lot of frills (you'll still get our famous bottle opener though). You can choose from 700c or 26" hand built wheels. The Toucan Travel is the same great value as the Toucan, but utilizes S&S couplings to allow you to take the bike apart and easily fit it into a suitcase for traveling. This year we even offer this bike with a Rohloff hub system incorporated.

The Toucan Travel version will fit into a 26" X 26" X 14" case for traveling on airlines. Most people opt to use 2 of the smaller 26" X 26" X 10" cases for easier packing.

The 8-Ball is a Rodriguez exclusive! It's a travel bike and a travel tandem all in one bike. The entire thing will break down easily to fit into a 26" by 26" flight case.

This is the bike that Willie Weir and his wife Kat used to tour Cuba. Over the last few years, we've built several of these bikes. Everyone who has one loves it.
